Showcasing Our Designs – Monument Signs By National Signs in Houston

Since 1992, the National Signs Houston facility has provided turnkey commercial signage services to leading businesses and organizations. Our end-to-end signage solution includes design, engineering, permitting, project management, manufacturing, and installation for government, institutional, corporate, retail, church, and commercial customers.
One of the most popular types of signage we offer is a classic style – the monument sign. You may be asking, “What exactly is a monument sign?” Well, generally speaking, a monument sign is a freestanding sign that is detached from a building or structure. It usually sits on the ground on a solid base without any visibly exposed structural supports. Monument signs usually have a low profile with little to no space between the ground and the sign.
There are a plethora of design options and features you can choose for your monument sign due to their versatility. You can customize them, as needed, to help your business stand out. Monument signs help identify businesses and are usually positioned near streets and entrances. They provide a direct line of sight for passersby in order to really catch their attention.
At National Signs, we have had the privilege of working with some really great clientele. You’ve probably seen some of our monument signs in Houston and the surrounding areas. Let’s share a few of our favorites.

Monument Signs Delivered by National Signs in Houston

1. The Fay School THE FAY SCHOOL MONUMENT SIGN

Located near Houston’s famous Memorial Park, The Fay School is an elementary school that we’re extremely proud to provide signage for.

The Fay School is a non-sectarian, not-for-profit, co-educational school offering high-quality education for children of diverse backgrounds who have strong talents and academic abilities.
According to their website, “Here children learn and grow intellectually, physically, socially, ethically, and artistically while developing self-confidence and a lifelong love of learning through an active partnership among educators, parents, and students.”

The monument sign at The Fay School really pops. It matches the school’s colors with its bright blue and yellow, and the logo is positioned forward, creating a multi-dimensional look. The sign also features the address of the building. It’s an eye-catching, colorful monument sign that really stands out to anyone visiting the campus.

2. The RELLIS Campus RELLIS 1 blog

Another educational institution that we’ve partnered with is Texas A&M University’s RELLIS Campus. This campus is located at 3100 TX-47 in Bryan, Texas — about an hour-and-a-half outside of Houston.
This campus was the vision of A&M System Chancellor John Sharp. He saw the potential in the existing Riverside Campus and its location. In May 2016, Chancellor Sharp announced the transformation of Riverside Campus into the RELLIS Campus.

It is named for the six Aggie Core Values, which are: Respect, Excellence, Leadership, Loyalty, Integrity, and Selfless Service.

This innovative campus has become a technology and testing research hub. RELLIS helps facilitate collaboration between private and public sector companies in order to provide unique educational opportunities for the students there.

Upon entering the campus, you will see the National Signs monument sign right away. This sign stands proud and sturby next to the campus flagpoles and features the A&M logo and a big, bold “RELLIS” in their signature color – you guessed it – maroon!

3. Finkl Steel Houston FINKL STEEL WEB Monument

If you find yourself in Northwest Houston, you may pass by the monument signage we created for Finkl Steel in Cypress. It’s hard to miss, as it is a massive, shiny momentum sign featuring the company’s signature “F” in a giant blue diamond atop the sign.

According to their website, “Finkl Steel is the world’s leading supplier of forging die steels, plastic mold steels, die casting tool steels, and custom open-die forgings, processing over 200,000 tons of steel each year.”
Another impressive fact about our client: “With more than 100 patents, Finkl Steel sets worldwide standards including being the first steel manufacturer in America to receive ISO 9001 certification.”

Their products are manufactured at four production facilities located across North America — Chicago, Detroit, Quebec, and of course, Houston. You can find their sign at 14710 Cypress North Houston Road.
